Happy New Sparkle...
January 09, 2013
I don't know about you... but I am sooo not ready to call it a New Year yet!
If you are anything like me, it takes you awhile to get back into the swing of things after Christmas vacation, relatives, get togethers, kid entertainment and an obscene abount of fudge consumption!
We have been very quiet over here in Fig Treeland during the month of December as a result of too many of the aforementioned items... way too many of a few of them! We are now slowly trying to get ourselves organized and on with the year...
But we're not quite all that ready.
One thing that we have managed to get organized while we clean up the office and studio are a few Valentine related goodies [look for those later tonite or tomorrow in our shop] and a brand new SPRING SPARKLE kit with some of our favorite California Girl pieces.
We just couldn't resist the fresh, Spring feel of this version and thought it would make a perfect first project for the New Year.
... each block is one star and you only have 4 stars to make... and they come together so easily its crazy!
... a simple checkerboard sashing joins the four stars.
... and ta da, you have yourself a Sparkle quilt. You really have to have one of your own. I think.

More goodies tomorrow...
Happy New Year, Joanna! x

Looks great. California Girl has been my favourite collection so far. Possible that Avalon will take over though! It's the blue tones that speak to me I think.

Is there a pattern to buy to make Spring Sparkle? I have a bunch of your fabrics to make the Spring Sparkle, I love it!

I am just getting caught up on blog reading and I wondered if it was still possible to get some of the 12 Days of Christmas items. I am interested in the Applique Kit, the Needle Threader and the Grocery Bag. Thank you.

Ooh. I am not sure what I like most: the pieced border, the fabric range or the cute stars!

To artsabvvy - that means they're sold out! Happens to me all the time. Joanna, just signed up for Lollipops at Campwatchapatcher. Will you be bringing any goodies w/you? So looking forward to your class. Though was VERY hard to choose between Parasols and Lollipops. Sent the camp email to a number of friends - so far one has signed up too. Can't wait.

The kits have now sold out which is why you are no longer able to see them.
The pattern is called Sparkle and is available in our regular shop.

Unfortunately it is based around a Layer Cake and we are all out of those! If you would like to build your own on-line or at your favorite local quilt shop, let us know and we can send over yardage requirements.
Thanks!
