The end of May brought Spring QUILT MARKET... We showed not only our brand new patterns and fabric collection but also all the projects from the new book! Its a good thing we had a double end cap booth because I'm not sure how else we could have fit it all!
We had a wonderful time spending time with all our colleagues and customers.
I do realize that its almost February, I really do. Its just that it takes me this long to fully realize that its the new year, catch up and clean up after Christmas, get the kids off to school after the break, begin to think about better organizing my life and generally be ready for that "happy new year" sentiment that so many people are ready for on January 1st. I guess I am just not a January 1st kind of gal! I consider it a great victory if I feel ready for the year by the end of the month. I guess I have a week left!
So owning up to who I really am and not feeling bad about what I haven't made happen, I thought I might take a look through 2012 in the way I know I can right now. In pictures...
So I looked through my blog and picked out a few favorite shots from each month.
Today, January, 2012.
Tonite, February. Here's to 2012!
Even if I'm not quite ready to say Happy New Year just yet.
P.S. I do have another, more personal, post to share about the year 2012 but that one is taking me some emotional time to write so bear with me a bit longer.
Each year the fabulous gals over at the Fat Quarter Shop decide on a theme and a fabric collection and start to make plans for their hugely popular Designer Mystery Block of the Month. You know how fab they are if you've ever done one!
Every once in awhile they choose one of my collections to work with and every once in awhile, I have the pleasure to design the BOM itself. This time I got to do both things at once!
Along with 11 of our designer friends, I have also contributed a block [sneak peek of my block is on top of this lovely little stack below]. In fact the quilt starts off my with my basket block and then continues on with other wonderful basket, house, flower and star blocks. Its really quite fun and lovely!
If you haven't already, I think you might want to sign up... Especially if you are the BOM type!

Welcome to the online journal of Joanna Figueroa, textile designer, author & owner of Fig Tree & Co, a quilt & sewing pattern company. Let's talk about fabric, design, color, family, life, pickles and bowls... not necessarily in that order!
If you sign up here above, every time we write a new post, it will be sent to you via email. How great is that!
Please feel free to use any fabric or pattern images to help promote and market our products in your shop or blog. If you are interested in using any more personal photos, please email me before using or posting anywhere else. Thank you.
